Setting Up Your USRP SDR with UHD
I would like to preface this article by stating that all steps below have been tested with the LibreSDR B210. Steps may vary depending on your SDR, but they should be similar for all USRP-based SDRs, granted you use the correct firmware image.
Keep in mind that some repositories being used in this guide are only available by default on Ubuntu (version 22.04 or newer). If you are using a different distribution please be aware that you will likely need to seek repositories elsewhere.
Downloading Necessary Files:
Before the installation of UHD, you need the FPGA image for your SDR. This image should be provided by the seller of your SDR, or located on the manufacturer's website. Unless you are using an official Ettus Research USRP SDR, the firmware automatically downloaded by UHD will not work.
If you are using a LibreSDR B210 with AD9361 or AD9363: Below is a download link to the proper FPGA image for the LibreSDR B210. This will be useful when preparing FPGA images for your SDR.
